Employee Ownership University
OCM - Ownership Committee Member Certification Program
Ownership Committee Member Certificate (OCM)

Participants will Become ESOP Champions and Help Employee Owners Connect to Company Goals
Ownership culture does not happen by accident. It grows through employee owners who communicate, engage peers, share stories, and help connect ownership principles to daily work.
Employee Ownership University (EOU) is proud to offer the Ownership Committee Member Certificate (OCM), a practical learning pathway designed for employee owners who want to contribute meaningfully as members of Communications and Culture Committees. Through a blend of self-paced online learning, live virtual sessions, and in-person experiences, participants develop the skills needed to strengthen ownership culture and engagement throughout their organization.
The OCM is the prerequisite for the Ownership Culture Committee Leader Certificate (OCL). Participants who already know they want to earn the OCL should register for the OCL pathway. By completing that certificate, they will earn both the OCM and OCL certificates.
Who Should Participate?
The Ownership Committee Member Certificate (OCM) is designed for employee owners who want to play a more active role in strengthening ownership culture, engaging fellow employee owners, and supporting the work of a Communications and Culture Committee.
- New committee members seeking a strong foundation: Employee owners who have recently joined a Communications and Culture Committee and want to understand their role and responsibilities more effectively.
- Employee owners interested in serving on a committee: Individuals who want to contribute to ownership culture initiatives and build the knowledge and skills needed to become effective committee members.
- Ownership ambassadors and culture champions: Employee owners who enjoy connecting with coworkers, sharing ownership stories, encouraging engagement, and helping others understand the value of employee ownership.
- Employees involved in ownership communications and events: Individuals who support ownership celebrations, ESOP communications, employee engagement activities, and other initiatives that help bring ownership culture to life.
- Future committee leaders: Employee owners who want to develop committee experience and ownership culture knowledge before pursuing leadership opportunities through the Ownership Committee Leader Certificate (OCL).
Build practical ownership skills and become a more confident ownership ambassador.
