The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) today voted to advance Daniel Aronowitz, nominee for Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA), to the full Senate. The HELP Committee approved Aronowitz’s nomination by a vote of 14-9. The nomination now advances to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote.

The ESOP Association today announced the hiring of Erica Beck Spencer to lead the Association’s efforts to transform ESOP education and adult learning. In addition, The ESOP Association is announcing the development of new certification programs across several core ESOP disciplines that will become integrated into future National and Chapter events beginning in January 2026. Erica Beck Spencer is a nationally recognized expert in adult education with more than two decades of experience in curriculum development.

The U.S. Senate today confirmed Lori Chavez-DeRemer to be Secretary of Labor in a bipartisan vote of 67-32. Democratic Senators Bennet (CO), Cortez Masto (NV), Gallego (AZ), Hassan (NH), Hickenlooper (CO), Kaine (VA), Kelly (AZ), Klobuchar (MN), Ossoff (GA), Peters (MI), Rosen (NV), Schiff (CA), Shaheen (NH), Slotkin (MI), Warner (VA), Warnock (GA), and Whitehouse (RI) voted to confirm Chavez-DeRemer. She will formally be sworn into office on Tuesday March 11 during a ceremony at the White House.
