OCL - Ownership Committee Leader Certification Program
Ownership Committee Leader Certificate (OCL)

Lead with Purpose. Build a Stronger Ownership Culture. Create Lasting Impact.
A Communications and Culture Committee can play a powerful role in shaping how employee ownership is understood and experienced throughout an organization. Effective committee leaders help transform ownership culture from a series of activities into a strategic driver of engagement, alignment, and long-term value creation.
Employee Ownership University (EOU) is proud to offer the Ownership Committee Leader Certificate (OCL), an advanced learning certificate designed for employee owners who want to lead their Communications and Culture Committees with greater purpose and impact. Participants strengthen committee leadership, ownership communication, strategic planning, and their ability to connect ownership culture to company value.
The Ownership Committee Member (OCM) Certificate is a prerequisite for the OCL. Participants who plan to earn the lengthier certificate should enroll in the OCL pathway from the outset. By completing the full pathway, they will earn both the OCM and OCL certificates.
Who Should Participate?
The Ownership Committee Leader Certificate (OCL) is designed for employee owners who are ready to lead, strengthen, or launch a Culture and Communications Committee and create a greater ownership impact within their organization.
- Current committee members ready for a leadership role: Individuals who have served on a Communications and Culture Committee and want to build the skills needed to chair, facilitate, and lead more effectively.
- New or emerging committee leaders: Employee owners who have recently been asked to lead a committee and want a proven framework, practical tools, and greater confidence in their leadership.
- Committee champions tasked with revitalization: Individuals responsible for re-energizing an inactive or struggling committee and creating renewed engagement around employee ownership.
- Organizations starting a committee from scratch: Employee owners who need guidance on building committee structure, defining roles, setting priorities, and creating a sustainable plan for success.
- Ownership advocates seeking greater organizational impact: Employee owners who want to move beyond committee participation and learn how to align ownership culture initiatives with business goals, employee engagement, and long-term company success.
