Volunteer Leaders Gather in DC for Strategic Planning & ESOP Advocacy

The ESOP Association
SRCC 2024

In 1986 The ESOP Association’s Board of Directors adopted a change to the bylaws allowing for the organization of subgroups under its legal charter and non-profit recognition.  Article VIII, Section 1 of The ESOP Association by-laws provide for groups organized in state or regional areas that are known as “State” or “Regional” Chapters of The ESOP Association. This change allowed for the development of our current structure of 19 chapters across the United States.

The ESOP Association’s chapter leaders are critical to our success. The Chapter Officer group is comprised of dedicated volunteers committed to moving their chapters forward and helping fulfill the mission of The ESOP Association. The State and Regional Chapter Council (SRCC) is made up of the leadership teams across our 19 chapters.

Every January the SRCC gathers at The ESOP Association’s headquarters in Washington D.C. to network, share ideas, and advocate. This gathering of leadership is instrumental in the development and execution of initiatives for the current year and beyond.

More than 70 Chapter Officers participated in this year’s meeting and their first group activity was visiting Senate and Congressional offices on Capitol Hill. In little more than three hours, groups visited hundreds of House and Senate offices!  During the visits our volunteer leaders shared critical information about The ESOP Association’s key priorities, employee ownership in general, and upcoming events in Members’ districts.

Leadership, membership, programming, communications, and advocacy were the topics discussed during a bright light panel discussion.  Each chapter also shared successful meetings and best practices during an open idea exchange.

All 19 chapters will have events between now and the end of April. The Chapter Officers are dedicated to providing the best member experience possible and we encourage you to join them at one of the more than 30 events they are hosting this spring.

The ESOP Association is very grateful to our volunteer leaders for their time and service! If you are interested in becoming more involved with your chapter, please do not hesitate to contact any of your Chapter Officers listed on The ESOP Association website.
