The ESOP Association (TEA) has six Professional Advisory Committees, each composed of 25 Regular members and additional Associate members. These committees advise TEA leadership on emerging issues and help plan and present educational conferences and events, focusing on key ESOP topics such as fiduciary matters, finance, and employee ownership culture.
We accept applications every spring. All TEA members may apply to any committee, but may serve on only one. Advisory Committee members contribute to publications, webinars, and events while gaining professional development and networking opportunities. Current committee members must reapply; Emeritus members and Past Chairs do not. Members with 15+ years of service should contact Jennifer Edwards to verify. Returning applicants are required to contribute at least $250 to the Employee Ownership Foundation or the ESOP PAC between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026. In selecting Committee members, Advisory Committee Chairs will consider various aspects of your application, including:
- Attendance at TEA national and chapter events, (Applying members must attend two national events to qualify)
- Presentations delivered at TEA events (we will not consider presentations to outside groups)
- Authoring or contributing to a TEA publication, newsletter article, or other similar written, video, or other educational material produced for the benefit of the Association’s membership
- Service as a volunteer leader at the Chapter or National level for TEA or the EOF
- Participation in TEA’s ESOP Advocacy Day within the prior two years
- Donations to the EOF or ESOP PAC, for reapplying members
- Willingness to receive training on presentations for ESOP Association certification programs
