ESOP Association Postpones Events for Next Six Weeks

Today, following ongoing reports and announcements from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The ESOP Association announced it will postpone all events between March 14 and April 27.

As of today, events scheduled after April 27 remain unaffected. As it has thus far, The Association will continue to rely on the latest guidance from leading health experts—including the CDC, WHO, and others—and the restrictions on travel and gatherings at the federal and local level to inform its decisions on Association events.

“Postponing these events is not a decision we take lightly—we recognize the hard work so many have put into preparing for these events and the value these gatherings bring to the employee ownership community,” said James J. Bonham, President and CEO of The ESOP Association. “Based on an evaluation of evolving circumstances, the information being shared by experts in the medical field, the travel bans announced by the President last night, as well as the growing number of states and municipalities banning non-essential mass gatherings, we believe this is the most responsible decision to make for our members and the communities where they live and work.”

This will be the first time in TEA history that events have been postponed on such a scale.

Anyone registered for an event that has been postponed will be given a 100 percent credit toward the rescheduled event. Those who wish to cancel their registration may contact their Chapter Executive or Administrator; refunds will be granted minus an established administrative fee for each event. For our valued event sponsors, your sponsorship will continue to be applied to the event on the new date once it is announced.
