Washington, DC, July 14, 2021 — On behalf of the more than 10.5 million American employee-owners with an ownership interest in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company, The ESOP Association applauds Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) and Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) for including ESOPs as a core requirement in their bipartisan legislation focused on entrepreneurship among older Americans.

Washington, DC, June 21, 2021 - Jessica Molnar, Intern Architect at Wiley|Wilson, based in Lynchburg, VA has been named The ESOP Association’s 2021 Employee Owner of the Year. This award recognizes a non-management employee owner who provides a positive influence in the company and participates in the company’s employee ownership activities and the activities of The ESOP Association (TEA). It is one of the highest honors that TEA bestows.

There is plenty of data about wealth inequality, focusing on data alone misses a key point: Wealth inequality is about people. It is about people who go to work, pay their bills, meet their responsibilities, contribute to their communities, and pay their taxes—and who, in spite of their best efforts, are prevented from sharing in the wealth they help create.
