Description:
The ESOP Association (TEA) is the leading national trade and professional association 501(c)6 representing employee-owned companies and the professionals who provide services to those companies (such as attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, trustees). With a national headquarters based in Washington, DC, TEA currently maintains 19 state or regional Chapters divided into four main geographic regions. Between 3 and 5 chapters constitute a region.
The Employee Ownership Foundation (EOF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the employee ownership model of business and is associated with the ESOP Association. We promote employee ownership to the public and catalyze independent, academic research about the issues those businesses face. Our activities help spark and nurture action among business owners and leaders, policy makers, employees, and the media. Our goal is for more employees to have an ownership stake in the businesses where they work and for these types of businesses to be rewarded in the market.
The Employee Ownership Foundation has created the ESOP Employee Accelerator program. This intensive (and fun!) one-day program is geared toward non-management and new employee owners, to provide them with core fundamentals of business and ESOPs. The goal of the Accelerator program is to get employees thinking like the owners they are by instilling a knowledge base to help them approach their jobs with an ownership mindset. After attending an Accelerator, employee owners will have a better understanding of business operations and decisions, and an appreciation of how they can impact their ESOP.
The Accelerator Trainer is an employee of The ESOP Association (TEA) with time apportioned to and funded by its affiliated supporting 501(c)3, The Employee Ownership Foundation (EOF). The trainer manages the Accelerator program and is a co-on-site trainer – teaching the ESOP business and communication fundamentals to employee owners in an interactive classroom and simulation scenario setting. They plan upcoming Accelerator training programs based on company and state and regional chapter requests. Coordinate the training materials and update it accordingly to keep it fresh and fun. Manage all meeting arrangements including material preparation, food, and travel logistics of the one-day training whether that is at a host company location or at a rented space. The trainer is responsible for marketing the program and monitoring registrations to ensure that planned programs are at capacity and meeting educational expectations. They will also solicit feedback and adjust programming in coordination with senior staff and advisors to ensure Accelerator programming meets the highest standards of our members.
The Accelerator Trainer must be a person who acts consistently with the values of TEA as expressed through the Association’s vision, mission, and culture.
