It has been decades since we have seen the borrowing climate for deals change so sharply as it has recently outside of a recession. Financing for M&A and private equity transactions deteriorated dramatically through 2022, with third-quarter M&A financing down 70% from the previous quarter and buyout financing during the period less than half that completed in the first quarter.

To us, “social media” encompasses any technology that enables us to create and share content and make those connections. Travel and Transport is a 1,400-person company with offices from Boston to Seattle. We have a self-insured health plan in which approximately two thirds of our employee owners participate. Our plan has run large deficits the past several years and, as a result, we are in the midst of making some major changes.
