Waite Dalrymple Receives Life Service Award

May 15, 2007 (Washington, DC) – Waite Dalrymple has been awarded The ESOP Association’s Life Service Award, the Association’s highest honor, for his commitment to employee ownership and his unrivaled efforts on behalf of The ESOP Association and the Employee Ownership Foundation, the Association’s affiliated foundation.  The award was presented at the Association’s 30th Annual Conference in Washington, DC.  The ESOP Association is the national trade association for companies with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and the leading voice on employee ownership in America.

Mr. Dalrymple is one of the founders of the 100% employee owned company Parametrix, a leading engineering, environmental sciences, and architecture firm located in Sumner, Washington.  He has been actively involved with The ESOP Association and the employee ownership community for many years, not only as a CEO of an employee owned firm, but as a leader of the Employee Ownership Foundation which he has chaired for the past four years.  In his capacity as Chair of the Employee Ownership Foundation, Mr. Dalrymple has traveled to numerous Association events to speak to members about the Foundation and has been an incredible force in raising awareness of the Foundation and its work.  Under his leadership, the Foundation focused on a goal of raising a $1 million endowment to have the funds to support employee ownership research and education.  That goal was reached in 2006.

“Waite is a tremendous advocate for the Association and the Foundation.  His quiet leadership style moved the Foundation from a desire to be a real force in telling America that employee ownership not only succeeds, but is the right thing for our people and our country,” said J. Michael Keeling, President of The ESOP Association.

Founded in 1978, The ESOP Association represents over 1,400 ESOP companies who believe that employee ownership will improve American competitiveness, increase productivity through greater employee participation and strengthen our free enterprise economy.
