We do tons of stuff. We have 22 locations and each of them has fun and food to celebrate. We also use the opportunity to raise money for The Employee Ownership Foundation. We sell Tamales and fudge and cookies. We have a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Rummage Sale and a silent auction. We get our customers involved too. They like to eat and hve fun just like we do. They go away thiking we're a little weird but a "great bunch of employee owners".
We also have our annual slogan contst in October. As long as everyone is thinking about being an owner, let's get a slogan and make a new banner. The winner gets a gift certificate to be used at a fellow employee owned company. Hot Dog on a Stick is very popular as the spending location as is Jackson's Hardware.

We have fun along with educational things. The activities are spread out through the whole month so that we are doing something every week.
First there was sports day with ESOP crytogram. Second was P.J./Goodies day where employees came to work all nice and comfy in their p.j.'s and brought in some type of food to share with all. (We love to eat! and those expanding waist bands sure did feel good on our expanding waists.)Game played during this was ESOP crossword. Third was hat day along with bowling after working hours. Sometimes you just need to get together somewhere besides the work place.Game played was ESOP word search. Fourth will be a western day with a chili cook-off. Some like it hot some do not. Game to be played is owner name scramble. Then we have a presentation titled ESOP on track covering the basics of an ESOP. Rounding out this month will be costume day (you just never know what owners will look like on that day) along with hot dogs being served by our Advisory Committee.
